Rooms for Families

Most guestrooms at the Monte Vista Hotel contain one queen or king bed. For groups or families with children, we do have a few additional options. These rooms are in very high demand, especially on weekends from April through October, so please plan to book well in advance of your intended arrival date! On busy weekends in-season, there is a two-night minimum stay for family rooms.

  • We do not have any roll-away beds
  • None of our rooms sleep more than 4 people (including kids)
  • All rooms must have at least one person over age 18
  • Additional charges will apply for extra guests over the recommended number for each guestroom
  • The recommended number of guests for Queen or King rooms is 2 people

1937 Double Queen Rooms

These rooms are the equivalent of two 1937 Queen Rooms, attached by a shared bathroom between the two rooms or via a small internal hallway. Each room has one Queen bed and a separate entrance, as well as access to the shared bath. We have three 1937 Doube Queen Rooms on property.

  • Two Queen beds
  • One Bathroom with shower/tub combo or walk-in shower
  • No Television–Free wifi is available
  • Sleeps up to 4 adults

1937 King Family Room

This room is located on our second floor in the 1937 Wing. This is one large room with a King bed and a daybed with a trundle beneath. This is the equivalent of one King bed and two Twin beds. This room is intended for up to two adults and two children.

  • One King Bed, one Twin-sized daybed, and one Twin-sized trundle bed
  • One Bathroom with walk-in tiled shower (no tub)
  • No Television–Free wifi is available
  • Not recommended for more than 2 adults–the twin beds are intended for 2 additional children.

Lodge Connecting Queen Room

This room combination is comprised of two single Queen rooms with an internal connecting door. Each room has its own bathroom and private entrance. One room has a mini-fridge. We have one Lodge Connecting Queen Room.

  • Two Queen beds
  • Two individual bathrooms with shower-tub combo
  • Two Televisions
  • Mini-fridge in one room
  • Sleeps up to 4 adults

Exciting Renovation News

We are excited to share the news that the historic Monte Vista Hotel will undergo significant renovations starting later this summer.

We are committed to preserving the history, charm and beloved aesthetics of the hotel while significantly upgrading the guest rooms, lobby and restaurant space. We will also be adding 10 brand new suites in the neighboring “Farmhouse” which sits right next to the main building.

We will soon have renderings to share and will continue to keep you all updated as much as possible. This renovation is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2026.

The Monte Vista is currently closed for renovations as we refresh the property for a better guest experience.We can’t wait to welcome you back soon.

As of January 5th, 2026, The Monte Vista Hotel will temporarily close as we begin the next exciting phase of our renovation journey.This next chapter marks a major step forward as we work toward reimagining and revitalizing the property.
